Margaret Joan Nelson

Margaret "Maggie" Joan Nelson, was born on November 24, 1923, in Fresno, CA. She passed away peacefully on Monday, May 4, 2015, surrounded by her two youngest granddaughters, Jessica Sato and Jennifer Maxwell.

Margaret graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1941, and married John William Nelson on May 2, 1943. Margaret worked for Pacific Bell for 33 years as a supervisor and was a devoted employee. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority. Margaret loved to spend time with her family and friends. She never met a hamburger or milkshake she didn't like, and enjoyed playing cards.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Stan Bauer, whom have two children, Kristen Gartman and Heidi Quist. Margaret is also survived by her son, John Nelson and his three children, Keith Nelson, Jennifer Maxwell and Jessica Sato. She is also survived by her niece, Denise Nelson; and six great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Shrine of St. Therese Catholic Church on Thursday, May 7, 2015, at 10:00 a.m., followed by interment at St. Peter's Cemetery.
