Age 92, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and proud WWII veteran; born in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Grew up in Southern California while in his adolescence years making his way to Central California, where he made Malaga his home during his teens. He attended Sanger High School. Then, shortly after was drafted into the United States Army from San Francisco, California, as a Private First Class of the 17th Armored Engineer Battalion.
His final resting place was Fresno, California where he lived a long and full life with his loving wife of sixty-four years and immediate family. Manuel enjoyed fishing, traveling, family gatherings, and poker. He especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren whom he was so proud of. Manuel was the life of the party and friend to many. His free spirit and witty sense of humor captured the hearts of many.
Manuel is preceded in death by his parents, Feliberto and Ramona Garcia; brother, Anthony Garcia; and sisters, Jessie Alanis and Gerri Medina.
He is survived by his siblings, Nadine Moreno, Elizabeth Rodriguez, and Esther Marquez; Along with his wife, Esther Garcia; one son, Alexander Garcia; only daughter, Ramona Morales; and son-in-law, Joe Morales. He also has Eight (8) loving grandchildren; Seventeen (17) great-grandchildren; and one (1) great great-grandchild.
Services will be held at St. Anthony Mary Claret Church and Fresno Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 beginning at 10:15 a.m.
