Dr. Freeman was the most caring compassionate doctor I have ever experienced. 

Lou was a colleague and office partner for six years.  He will always be one of my very best friends.   He was very nervous one afternoon shortly after arriving in Fresno.  Seems he and Marge had found a new house on Valentine and he was a little concerned about the price.  I reassured him that he was coming to town making as much money as he ever would and the price of housing would only be going up.  As we all know that has-with many additions and remodels-been the Freeman house for all these years.   It was a great privilege  to be included in the crew(s) on Volana and Cygnet culminating in the greatest adventure of my life, Transpac 1991.   Thank you Marge for all your wonderful pre-precooked meals,  Chris and Drew fellow crewmen, and Beth for driving us so your Dad could get some sleep.   Lou truly had a life well lived and will be missed by all who , like me, were privileged to know him.    Max Dean

Lou was such a great man I every respect.  I so enjoyed following his sailing adventures, seeing the love he had for his family, and learning about  his kids as they grew up and had families of their own.  Reading the  annual Freeman Christmas newsletter was one of my favorite holiday activities.  My most sincere condolences to Marge and family.
