She was a consummate homemaker who loved her home and all who entered. "G.G's" happiest times were spent around her home. She saw any sunny day as an opportunity to work in her yard and garden. She cared for and nurtured her plants and flowers much like she did with her family. She also enjoyed her outings to Table Mountain, occasionally testing her skill with the games of chance. Lorraine enjoyed life until the very end. Her later years included a number of health issues, which she handled with courage and strength.
She and her family will be forever grateful for the loving care given by the angels who looked after her at Saint Agnes Medical Center. This was especially true for those who treated her in the Imaging and Infusion departments.
She is preceded in death by her lifelong husband Harry; grandson Robbie; and son-in-law Roy.
She is survived by her children, Marilyn McClendon and her companion Wayne Sumner, Harry Dougherty and his wife Kate, Robert Dougherty and his wife Micki, and Linda Ashworth and her husband Jake; grandchildren, Debbie, Mark, Gerrett, Kellie, Carrie, Matthew, Jennifer, Rae, and Holly; great-grandchildren, Kevin, Sarah, Mallory, Sean, Alison, Erin, Keira, Daniel, Christopher, Shelby, Mason, and Sienna; and one great-great granddaughter Addy.
