Laura was a loving and devoted mother to her children, Daniel, Christine and William. She encouraged their every endeavor, stood by them in their difficult times, and delighted in their achievements. She rejoiced in her role as their mother.
Laura was born in Madera, California, at the former Dearborn Hospital to John and Mary Little. The oldest of three brothers and four sisters, Laura was an Army brat, and the Little family lived most of her childhood in the South, to include North Carolina, Georgia, Kentucky, Texas and Mississippi. They later moved to Washington state and Kansas, and she graduated with the Leavenworth High School Class of '77. She returned to California and graduated from California State University, Fresno, with a degree in Fashion Merchandising. She lived briefly in Walnut Creek as a buyer for Macys. She then returned to Fresno to marry and start her family. She was active in the Junior League of Fresno and various charitable organizations during her life.
She built a career as a successful sales representative in the pharmaceutical field, earning many awards and often leading her region in sales. Her family was always proud of her success.
Family and friends always came first for Laura. Her mother was her rock, and they looked after each other with deep love and trust. Her close friends were like sisters - she maintained lifelong relationships that endured the test of time. A caring daughter to her father, a loyal and tender sister, an affectionate granddaughter, a thoughtful niece, kind cousin, and adoring aunt to her three nephews and two nieces -- she will fill our memories with her generosity and boundless love.
Laura will always be remembered by her strong faith in God through her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and also for her love of all animals, to include the dogs and puppies she cared for and adopted.
She is survived by her three children and her parents. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Michael Little and his wife Diana; Jeffrey Little; Denise Little and her husband Bill; Theresa Howard and her husband Mike; Catherine Middlen and her husband Tom; and Andrew Little.
A Memorial Service will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 355 E. Champlain Dr., Fresno, on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at 10:00 a.m.
