Lai King was a seamstress by trade in China. In Fresno, she and Siu Hin worked in restaurants as kitchen prep and cooks, eventually opening up their own restaurant, Hin’s Kitchen, for a few years. After retirement, she became a full time grandmother, helping raise all 7 of her grandchildren. She loved to travel, tending her gardens, reading, and watching political news.
