Kyle Matthew Juárez was born on May 3, 1978, in Fresno, CA. He attended St. Anthony Elementary School and graduated from San Joaquin Memorial High School in 1996. Kyle went on to continue his education at Fresno City College and California State University, Fresno, graduating with a degree in History.
While waiting to be accepted into Fresno City College Fire Academy, he worked to get his EMT certificate, graduating first in his class. Kyle completed the Fire Academy and continued pursing his medical interests by going to paramedic school. After working at American Ambulance for six years, he was accepted to be a flight medic with SkyLife. He worked as a flight medic and a ground medic for an additional three years.
Kyle met his wife, Brooke, in 2003, where they worked together at Blockbuster. They married in 2008, and have two children together, Brody, age five, and Macey, age three. Kyle cherished his days off when he could spend extra time with his family. One year ago, when the family enjoyed their first trip to Disneyland, Kyle valued the time they were able to spend together. He embraced being a daddy and loved his children with his whole heart. He also loved running, photography, flowers, and electronic gadgets, among many other interests.
Kyle was admired and respected by, family, friends, colleagues and anyone else he met. He always had a smile on his face and cared for everyone who crossed his path. Kyle kept calm in any situation and was able to deal with difficult situations with ease. He was always quick with a witty comeback.
On Thursday, December 10, 2015, Kyle died doing what he loved. As he was transporting a critically ill patient, his helicopter tragically crashed en route to Bakersfield, CA.
Kyle was preceded in death by his father, Tony Juárez, who was able to retire when Kyle was only six. This gave them the opportunity to form a special bond. Also preceding him is his grandmother, Edna Cramer; and his aunt, Vera Juarez.
Kyle is survived by his wife Brooke; their two children, Brody and Macey; his mother, Diane Juárez; and his brothers, Michael and Mark Juarez, including their families.
The family would like to acknowledge and thank American Ambulance for their love and support through this difficult time.
A Funeral Service will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church on Monday, December 21, 2015, at 11:00 a.m.
