With different ways of spelling her name she was always quick to say that's Kristy with a 'K' cause I love my name!
Kristy was a loving companion to Joe Michael Gaona for 13 years. Devoted Mother to Mikayla & Maximus.
She was a Wilton Cake instructor in Ventura County for 8 years mastering in all techniques then taught private lessons. Some of her students went on to opening their own shops. One of those student became her best friend and won first place ribbons in the Ventura County Fair for several consecutive years.
Kristy studied piano at the at of 10. She was self teaching in many areas. She found her most enjoyment caring and teaching children. She worked as a Teachers Assistance at Fresno Unified School District for at least 8 years.
Kristy loved the Lord with all her heart. Kristy dedicated her life to serving the Lord a year ago not knowing what laid ahead. She was diagnosed with rare stage 4 cancer on May 10 of this year. Kristy fought a tough battle but never complained. Even when it became difficult to move her from side to side she remained calm asking us to give her a minute to compose herself. Rarely asking for pain meds.
On her last return home from the hospital we thought we had more time with her but God saw fit to take her just 12 hours later very peacefully with out any difficulty breathing or any pain.
A visitation for KRISTY will be held Monday, October 4, 2021 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Pentecostal Tabernacle, 14319 W Kearney Blvd, Kerman, CA 93630. A funeral service will occur Monday, October 4, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Pentecostal Tabernacle, Kerman, CA 93630. A graveside service will occur Monday, October 4, 2021 starting at 1:00 PM at Fresno Memorial Gardens, 175 South Cornelia Ave, Fresno, CA 93706.
