Karin was born on November 27, 1955 to James and Eleanor Evans in Bakersfield, CA. She graduated from Foothill High School in 1973. She worked as a librarian at Ramon Garza Elementary School in Bakersfield and later as a team member at Joann Fabrics in Fresno. Her hobbies and passions included crocheting, gardening, and spending time with grandkids.
Karin was working at Fashion Fabrics in Bakersfield when she met Kelly. Fresh out of the Marines and fixing up his new Dodge Van, he asked her out and the rest was history. Karin even helped work on the van. They were married exactly one year later.
She is preceded in death by her father James W. Evans.
She is survived by her loving husband Kelly Foster; children April Tarango and David Foster; grandchildren Ashley Rocha, Brady Tarango, Camryn Tarango, and Audrey Foster; mother Eleanor Evans; and brother James Evans.
The family would like to thank the wonderful, compassionate nurses and doctors at St. Agnes for making Karin’s final days comforting.
Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Bakersfield, CA, 9101 Kern Canyon Rd. on Wednesday, February 22 at 11am.
