Janie is survived by her loving husband Arnold Cantu Sr., her children, Arnold Cantu Jr. & Laura Cantu, Amanda Marie Hernandez & Julio Hernandez, Ruben Andrew Cantu & Marina Cantu, and Aaron Anthony Cantu, great-grandchildren, Lori Cantu, Leslie Cantu, Lizette Cantu, Audrey Cantu, Logan Cantu, Elodie Cantu, Julio Herandez Jr., Aliyah Hernandez, and Adelyn Hernandez, her Loving Mother Maria De La Luz Aguilar, her Step-Father Jose Gonzalez, all her loving sisters, Maria Gonzalez, Socorro Trejo, Leonor Mendez, Perla Duarte, Alicia Mendez, Estella Herrera, Esmeralda Valdez, Elizabeth Carson, Rebecca Gonzalez and brothers, Jose Gonzalez Jr., Reynaldo Gonzalez, Ricardo Gonzalez, Roberto Gonzalez, Rodolfo Gonzalez and extended family members.
Arnold Sr. and Janie originally met in Elementary school in Raisin City, California, and since then they knew they were destined to be together for the rest of their lives.
Janie was a devoted Christian who knew the love of Jesus and she did everything she could to show the people she met the same type of love. Even at the end, she found a way to smile.
Janie will be remembered for her great sense of hairstyles, her loving contagious laugh, the love she shared with everyone, and her love for life and all its opportunities. We will always remember and keep her memory alive. And will always be loved by her family and those she touched. A memorial for Janie will be held on Jan. 8th, 2024 at 10 am at The Worship Centre Church, 2830 East Manning Ave, Fowler, CA 93652, after the memorial, Janie will be laid to rest at Fresno Memorial Gardens, 175 South Cornelia Ave., Fresno, CA 93706, a reception will be held afterwards back at The Worship Centre Church, all family, friends, and acquaintances are welcome to share the celebration of life with us.
