Josie A. Gonzales

Josie a resident of Fresno went to be with the Lord peacefully on Thursday, September 18, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 30, 1927 to Frank and Rita Amparano in Buckeye, Arizona. She was a homemaker, devoted wife, loving mother and Nana to all her grandchildren.

She was known to "Nana" to everyone and was loving and caring person to all. Her most precious moments were spending time with her children.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her grandson Ricky, son-in-law Sal Carrion, four brothers and two sisters.

She leaves behind her husband of 64 years, Eliseo, her daughters Sylvia Ackel, Clara Carrion, Ramona Gonzales and her husband Richard, Teresa Gonzales and Tommy Gonzales, Frank Gonzales and his wife Margo, Gilbert Gonzales, Dee Dee and her husband Richard, Fernando, 22 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 25 great great grandchildren and her sister Carmen Pipes, many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Lisle Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 starting at 10:00 am and then followed by the Recitation on the Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm.

The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at 10:00 am. Interment to follow at Fresno Memorial Gardens.
