Harley passed peacefully on Wednesday, November 19, 2014. Born May 7, 1942 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. He spent his youth and final years in the Bakersfield area, but lived for many years while raising his family, in the Fresno area.
A gentleman farmer, active Freemason and avid sportsman. Harley is preceded in death by his wife, Lucretia Phillips, of 30 years; and parents Joe and Iris Phillips.
He is survived by his three children, Kari Shattuck of Los Osos, Brian Phillips of Ulm, Mt, Mike 'House' Phillips of Fresno; their spouses, seven grandchildren and four siblings spread far and wide.
Visitation will be held at Stephens & Bean Chapel, on Monday, December 1, 2014, from 2:00-7:00 p.m.
A Memorial Service will be followed by a celebration gathering of family and friends at the Fresno Scottish Rite 1455 L. St., Fresno 93721 Tuesday, December 2, 2014, 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that remembrances be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607 or the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, Grand Central Station, P.O. Box 4777, N.Y., N.Y. 10163.
