Joe was a godly man of great character and an extremely hard worker who left school early to help provide for his family. He had a love for fixing things and his greatest passion was repairing cars. This led him to start his own business, Bishop Equipment, where he repaired, refurbished and reconditioned autos and machinery for over 40 years. He was an avid gardener and grew the best fruits and vegetables which he would always share with everyone around. Joe was a good neighbor and would always lend a hand or give repair advice whenever possible. His sense of humor was always present and will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his daughter Alicia Bishop and brother Raymond Bishop.
Joe is survived by Jackie, his loving wife of 65 years; son Randy Bishop and wife Kay, daughter Beth Bishop, son Joel Bishop and wife Marsha; his grandchildren Steven Sloan and wife Jessica, Sean Bishop, Alexandra Bishop, Grant Bishop, Cameron Bishop; his great granddaughter Taylor Sloan; sisters Vera Madsen, Norma Lewis; his brothers-in-law; and sisters-in-law.
