John Lloyd Vincent "Johnny' surrounded by family and caregivers passed peacefully to his Heavenly home on April 18, 2013, at age 88. He was born on August 9, 1924, to Fred and Lanie Vincent in Huntington Park, Ca. He graduated from Clovis High School and attended Heald 4C's College. He served during WWII on the YMS273 with the U.S. Navy. He met the love of his life, LaVeta Vaughn, and they married on September 5, 1947. They lived, worked together, loved and laughed for the next 65 years. He was employed as Service Manager for 34 years at Cook's Communications. In 1981 he started Vincent Communications until retiring in 2000. He was well thought of in the radio industry for his warmth and integrity. Johnny was preceded in death by his twin, James Floyd; and sisters Mildred McAllister, Elwanda Sullivan, and O'Neida Price.
Survived by his devoted wife LaVeta; daughter, Cheryle Harrison and her husband Nick; sons, John Fred Vincent, and James Vincent and his wife Nancy; grandsons, Jonathan Frame and his wife Dawn, Jason Frame and his wife Elvira, Scott Vincent, Eric Vincent, and Michael Harrison; great-grandchildren, Teagan and Collin Frame; his sweet sister, Bonnie Farris; many nieces and nephews, and his faithful Westie Corky. Special thanks to his caregivers, Mario, Elisa, Karen, and especially his grandson, Michael Harrison. Visitation will be held at Stephens & Bean Chapel on Tuesday, April 23, 2013, from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Stephens & Bean Chapel on Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at 10:00 a.m.
