Mr. John E. Patterson

John was born on May 2, 1930, and passed away on Sunday, August 29, 2010. He graduated from Visalia Union High and served in the U.S. Navy on the carrier the Boxer. John married Imagene Case of Exeter, Ca. They had three children.

John owned a chain of service stations and Patterson Tire Co. He retired after 55 years in business in 2006. He and Imagene, taught round dancing helping start the 2Lazy2 Steppers club. John sponsored and coached teams in the Cary Little League in the 1960's and McLane Babe Ruth.

After retirement, he became a rancher in Madera. He loved working with the horses and all the other critters at the ranch, always treating them with great kindness and respect. He loved his new life. John was a generous man who helped many people during his life.

John was preceded in death by his wife Imagene; his son, Ric Patterson; his brother Jim; and his parents.

John was survived by daughter, Jo Patterson- Kern; son, Ron Patterson; granddaughter, Kimberly Patterson; great-granddaughter, Hailey Patterson- Layne; his sisters, Delores Wessel and Jean Scott.

Visitation will be held at Stephens & Bean Chapel on Friday September 3, 2010, from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m.

A Funeral Service will be held at Stephens & Bean Chapel on Saturday, September 4, 2010, at 1:30 p.m.
