We are sorry to hear about your dad, my uncle passing. We were surprised to learn  he was sick. had been thinking of my uncle these past few months. I remember Joel being happy, joking, a comedian. He would always make me laugh. I would like to express sympathy to Aunt Betty, and cousins. Joanne, Karen, Sherie, and Michele. Son Joey, Rachel, all the cousins, grandchildren, great grandchildren. I have so many memories as a young girl staying at my Uncle Joel and Aunt Betty’s with my Cousins. They always made me feel like one of their own. Uncle Joel you were a sweet man. I know you are in heaven with my Dad and your other family members. My love to my Cousins and my Aunt Betty.

I remember all of the fun times at the house on Lewis with Uncle Joel & Aunt Betty and my cousins. Uncle Joel always had a party going on with lots of food & the music was always bumpin out of that old stero console he had. Fun times that are ingrained in my memory forever.  The camping,, hunting, fishing were all a part of it. He'd make fun of my dad's shooting and called him Yosemite Sam. He was very hard working for his family too. Anyone who was raised like he & my dad  were, who could better himself  in life and become a business owner is something to be proud of.  I was so proud of him for that. I always loved seeing him and visitng throughout the years.  Whether it was up in Squaw Valley or at a country concert at the Fair or Savemart Center. He was so much fun. I was so happy for him to see me finally get married & attend the wedding with my sweet aunt Betty.  I remember one visit in particular where Darrell & I came up the hill with a sound system and sang some good old country songs that he loved. He really enjoyed that. Our last visit was one of the best, we all gathereed at the house and had a big BBQ, music and drinks, just like the good old days.  I'm going to miss his larger than life presence. We'll see you on the other side Uncle Joel. God bless you and hold you in his arms forever.

My heartfelt and sincere condolences to my Aunt Betty and Cousins, Joanne, Karen, Sherie, Michelle and Joey as well as all of his grandchildren and great grandchildren. I have the fondest memories of Uncle Joel...all the times we used to go camping, fresh water and deep-sea fishing, and hunting quail, dove, deer, elk...the list goes on...He was so funny when we went deep-sea fishing. You didn't want to get sick around him because he would put you on blast and offer you a piece of fried chicken or a bologna sandwich just to help you along! :>D
I will miss you Uncle Joel! May you rest in peace with Grandma and Grandpa and all your brothers and sisters that have gone before you. Love you...<3
