Joann Fay Hamilton passed to the Lord on October 8, 2021, in Madera, California. She was born in Oklahoma in 1934 and was 87 years old. She moved to the Central Valley of California in the 1940’s and settled in Kerman in 1952 where she resided until 2018.
Joann worked and retired from Kerman Telephone Company as office manager and served her community as a member of the Soroptimist Club. She was a lifetime advocate of women’s rights and worked to support and provide women and girls with education, training and opportunity to achieve economic empowerment and equality. A follower of our Lord Jesus Christ, Joann was a member of Kerman Covenant Church for many years.
Joann was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Harold Hamilton. She is survived by her daughter Sandy Barton and her husband Bill of Madera, her son Russ Hamilton and his wife Susan of Visalia, eight grandchildren and their spouses and eight great grandchildren.
