Joan Lawson, age 76, was born on December 22, 1938, in Fresno, CA. Joanie was raised in Dos Palos, CA, and graduated from Chowchilla High School, Chowchilla, CA, and went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 10, 2015.
Joanie was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Leah Baldridge, of Firebaugh, CA; and beloved daughter, Debbie Arlene (Hughes) Smiley.
Joanie will be loved, missed and remembered by many family, friends and loved ones.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 49 years, John P. Lawson of Fresno, CA. In addition to her husband, she is also survived by her two daughters, Carrie Freeman of Pismo, CA, and Julie Dolzadelli and her husband Philip of Fowler, CA; three sons, Brian Hughes and his wife Trina of Fresno, CA, John R. Lawson, of Los Gatos and Derek Lawson of Fresno, CA. She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
No service will be held. A private family memorial will be held.
