Jaspinder “Pindy” Johal was born on December 16, 1985 at O’Conner Hospital in San Jose, California. Pindy was raised in Hollister, California where she attended elementary and middle school. After the passing of her father Jasvir Singh Johal, she moved with her mother Ranjit Ronnie Johal, brothers Donnie and Paul Johal, and sister Harpreet Kaur Johal to Victoria, British Colombia, Canada, where she started school at Reynolds Secondary High School and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Pindy’s grandfather Banta Singh Sihota recently passed away, and she lost her grandmother Rajinder Kaur Sihota when Pindy was just a toddler. Just a few years after high school Pindy and her family moved back to California where they resided in Fresno, California. It was here in Fresno that Pindy found her true love Ranveer Singh Gill, and made her group of life time friends and kept close with her family members. After about five years Pindy and her family made their last move to the small quiet town of Tracy, California, where she enjoyed going to the beaches and making trips out to San Francisco, but shortly after in the beginning of the year 2008, Pindy began to feel ill and decided to visit a doctor. For about a year and a half doctors were unsure about what was wrong with her, so she decided to visit the hospital of Stanford, California. In April of 2009, the doctors of the Stanford hospital diagnosed Pindy with an illness known as Scleroderma. After she was there for about a month, the hospital no longer wanted to care for her due to the lack of insurance. She still remained hopeful and as brought to her attention and the attention of her family, a great friend named Sondeep Kaur Gill, told her to come visit the Community Hospital in Fresno, where she was greatly cared for and once again reunited with her family and friends who stood by her until the very end. It was on September 11, 2010 that Pindy suffered from cardiac arrest, and took her last breaths at the side of her loving mother and caring aunt Narinder Johal. A few of her many great friends and family members that cared for and supported her are her cousins Jaskirn Johal, Novneen and Mandy Sangha, her aunt and uncle Harbhajan and Narinder Johal, and Baljinder and Bhupinder Sangha, and her great friends Sondeep Gill, Davinder Bhangoo, Bobby Dhillon, Fatin Ayesh, Manprit Mattu, and many more. Pindy gave us the hope and strength of a lifetime, and she will always be loved and greatly missed.
