James Robert "Bob" Carnahan passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2015 in Gainesville, FL at the age of 97. He was born in Fort Morgan, CO on October 21, 1917 and grew up in that area. He married Thelma Ruth "Doad" Rothrock in 1938.
Shortly afterward they moved to Idaho with Doad's dad and her step-mom where they were in the propane business. In 1956, they sold out to Vangas. Bob remained with them for the rest of his career ending up as Director of Retail Sales in Fresno. Bob retired in 1983.
He and Doad spent several years traveling in their RV. Doad passed away in 1998. Bob reconnected with Billie Lawson, an old friend, in Gainesville, FL and they ended up spending their last years together until her death in 2013.
Bob is survived by four children, Judy Miller and husband Bud, Jim Carnahan of Fresno, Kris Cardenas and Keri Moore and husband Len of the Gainesville, FL area; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 10:00 a.m.
Interment will be held at Belmont Memorial Park on Monday, March 23, 2015 at 10:00 a.m.
