Isabelle S. Munoz

Isabelle was born on March 1, 1923, in Safford, Arizona to parents Eliseo and Tanita Sanchez. She married Richard F. Munoz in 1938, she then moved with her husband from Arizona to Los Angeles and began their family having their first child, Vera. Isabelle and Richard lived in Los Angeles for about six years before moving to the valley and Fresno in 1944 and their family continued to grow to three more children. Isabelle was married to Richard, who was the father of her four children, Vera, Richard, Irene and Gilbert for twenty-three wonderful years before he passed away in 1962. She was left to raise the three remaining children, ages nine, 12 and 16 years who were still at home.

Isabelle was remarried to Lee Segueda, whom she was married to for a number of years.

Isabelle was a born caregiver, taking care of her mother until her passing in 1979 and then her son who passed in 2008. Isabelle was a housewife and mother all her life and truly loved her four children, two grandchildren and her great-grandson.

Isabelle was preceded in death her husband, Richard F. Munoz; mother, Tanita Sanchez; son, Gilbert S. Munoz; her brothers, Victor Sanchez and Al Sanchez; and her half-brother and half-sister, Tino Martinez and Tillie Belderain.

Isabelle is survived by her daughter, Irene Munoz-Bruno and her husband, Jay Bruno of Fresno; her daughter, Vera Verduzco of Fresno; son, Richard Munoz; her grandchildren, Davene Munoz and David Rocha both of Fresno; and great-grandson, Aaron Munoz.

Visitation will be held at Stephens & Bean Chapel on Friday, May 11, 2012, from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Stephens & Bean Chapel on Saturday, May 12, 2012, at 11:00 a.m.
