Helen Jerry Oliver was born to William Jack McConnell and Mamie Irene Dolores Cotner on January 15, 1932 in Vian, Oklahoma. She was an important pillar in the lives of her family, as a loving wife for the past 55 years, a caring mother to her children, and a loving and doting grand/great-grandmother. Helen was an excellent cook, everything she made was delicious. Her famous spaghetti sauce and green salad are famous holiday traditions for her family. She also loved tending to her gardens, gambling at the casinos, reading and playing solitaire on her tablet. Sadly Helen passed away Sunday, August 28, 2022 at the age of 90.
Helen is survived by her husband, Ted Oliver; her daughter Christina Hoare (Michael); and her son Anthony Garduno (Linda); her sister Pat Pyeatt; her grandchildren Lindsay Benson, Christopher Garduno, Ashley Tracy (Jake),Brittany Garduno, Alex Garduno, and her great grandchildren Jonathon Tracy, Caleb Tracy, Isabella Tracy, Jaisley Garduno and Sophia Tracy.
Helen was preceded in death by her sisters Elaine, Doris and Norma; her great grandchild Ryan Christopher Tracy.
A rosary service for Helen will be held Wednesday, September 7, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Victory, 2838 N West Ave, Fresno, CA 93705. A mass will occur Wednesday, September 7, 2022 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, 2838 N West Ave, Fresno, CA 93705. A committal service will occur Wednesday, September 7, 2022 from 12:15 PM to 1:00 PM at St. Peters Catholic Cemetery, 264 N. Blythe Ave, Fresno, CA 93706.
