Greg was a dedicated man of God who longed for, pursued and experienced a deep personal relationship with the one who loved him into being. Greg was a Doer of God's Word. He felt that his duty, as a Christian, was not only to read and study Scripture but to dedicate one's life to living what was revealed to him in the Word of God. Greg challenged himself every day to put on the mind and heart of Christ. He measured his life by what St. Paul wrote in his letter to the Ephesians, entreating Christians "to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing forbearance to one another in love, being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace."
Greg's perseverance of the Christian life, his calling, was evident to all who knew him. He always had a listening ear, a peacemaker's agenda, a compassionate heart for those in need, a passion for justice and a fierce diligence to eradicate injustice.
During his final journey home to God, Greg was blessed with, and very grateful for, the caring and healing presence of Liza Apper.
