Gloria Flores "Big Mama", a beloved wife, mother and grandmother age 73, passed away Tuesday, July 19th, 2022, in Madera, Ca. She was born February 6, 1949, in Tamaulipas, Mexico to Rene Ramon and Aurelia Ramon. She was the second youngest of four sisters.
On February 12, 1972, she married the love of her life Manuel Flores. Gloria is survived by her husband of 50 years. Her three sons Manuel Flores Jr, Mario Flores and Mauricio Flores; her sister Blanca Ramon; her daughter-in-laws Linda Flores, Monica Flores and Priscilla Meza; her six grandchildren Matthew, Hayley, Mason, Caden, Macie, Melody Flores and her many nieces and nephews all of these she loved like her own.
Gloria is reunited in heaven with her parents Rene and Aurelia Ramon, her sisters Rebecca Torres and Juanita Juarez.
Gloria's whole heart was her family, she treasured and embraced every moment. She was known as "Big Mama" as she was a mother to all. She enjoyed get togethers at her home and making her famous menudo and her special cake. She loved to laugh and had a laugh that made everyone smile. She was a very elegant lady who always made sure she looked her best. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who always taught us to be kind and to forgive one another. A beautiful strong and spiritual woman who would do anything for her family and for that she will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
A visitation for Gloria will be held Thursday, August 4, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Whitehurst Sullivan Burns & Blair Funeral Home, 836 E. Nees Ave., Fresno, CA 93720 followed by Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m.
A funeral service will occur Friday, August 5, 2022 from 10:00 a.m.to 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony Mary Claret, 2494 S. Chestnut Ave., Fresno, CA 93725 followed by a graveside service at St. Peter's Cemetery, 264 N. Blythe Ave., Fresno, CA 93706.
