George lived a fulfilling life. George grew up in Pinedale California and attended Clovis High School where he excelled in football and wrestling.
After high school he worked for many years with Zellerbach Paper Company as a supervisor and for Paper Pulp and Film as a plant Manager.
George was committed to his family, cherished his friends and was a mentor to many. He enjoyed family gatherings, watching grandchildren play sporting events, playing handball, fishing trips, old cars, corvettes and the occasional trip to a casino.
George was preceded in death by his mother Emily Rodriguez, father George Rodriguez of Pinedale, siblings Richard Hernandez, Albert Rodriguez, Robert Hernandez, and daughter Marian Gutierrez.
George is survived by siblings Susan Brown, Hope Chacon-Salazar, David Rodriguez, son George Rodriguez, grandchildren Marie Gutierrez, Monica Alverez, George Rodriguez IV, Matthew Rodriguez and his great-grandchildren Armando Alcaraz, Ruben Alverez, Logan Alverez, Julian Alverez and little Mia Alvarez (who shared his birthday) along with many nephews and nieces.
A Visitation for George will be held Thursday, May 19, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Whitehurst Sullivan Burns & Blair Funeral Home, 836 E. Nees Ave., Fresno, CA 93720.
A Rosary service will occur Thursday, May 19, 2022 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 836 E. Nees Ave., Fresno, CA 93720.
A Mass of Christian Burial Service will occur Friday, May 20, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Agnes Mission, 111 W. Birch St., Pinedale, CA 93650.
