George visited Ray and I in AZ. 
Absolutely LOVED the visit.
We shared so many great memories of growing up in Cananea.

All the siblings got together to spruce up our parents' grave in Douglas,  AZ.

Ray and I visited him at his ranch in California in the summer.
He took us out on his boat for the day. 
It was so relaxing and so beautiful up there in the mountains.

Loved that smile and all the stories and jokes he told. I especially loved hearing his memories of his time growing up in Cananea. We were 14 years apart, so our memories were a bit different. I always wanted to hear his memories of mom and dad.

I'm saddened to hear about Redd’s passing.   Redd has had a very positive impact on my career at Southern California Edison. He was a good person and a great manager who became a mentor and a friend. We've had memorable times traveling, joking (mostly by him of course), celebrating, and boating. I remember a time when I had a tense meeting  at Mohave generating station and George turned it into a room full of laughter that resulted in a very successfully project. George and Marilyn later took Minda and me boating at Lake Mead. At one of my challenging projects in Big Creek, George turned a small dinner at the Lodge into a big party with local folks who later worked hard to make the project a success. Redd was always supportive of his people to have them grow and advance in their careers. Minda and I will sure miss him. May he Rest in Peace with the Lord. Prayers are offered at St. Lorenzo Ruiz in Walnut for the eternal repose of his soul in heaven. 

Thank you Redd for all your kindness towards my parents . You often would stop from your busy days to visit w my Dad and share stories in Spanish regarding Mexico, food and musica Mexicano. My Dad always respected you very much and nicknamed you Colorado (Redd in Spanish). You were a good man and a man for all seasons. I just know you both have so much to catch up with eachother. Gracias Colorado

On September 18th, 2022, my Uncle George & cousin Mark visited my home in Coppell, TX. I can't tell you how glad I was to see both of them that day. I hadn't seen either of them in 30 years. We talked for hours, drank beer, and had pizza while the Cowboy football game played in the background. I think of that day often and realize just how important family is. We love you George. 

We called him Uncle Gorgeous after Krystle mispronounced his name as Uncle Gorge. He would send us McDonald's bucks as Christmas gifts and I promise that there were no gifts we looked forward to more! He always hosted us at his house in California, even when we were teenagers and would bring a posse of friends with us. I will always remember him laughing and grilling on the barbecue for us, showing us his love in his own way 

George will truly be missed.  I worked and was mentored by George at SCE for many years.  I remember fondly the many stories George would tell especially on our trip to Mexico to test a new generator.  He always made the drive so enjoyable.  What an amazing engineer and friend.


So many fun times, thank you Redd, for your smile, your talents, your wisdom and sharing Marilyn with me. Enjoyed our conversations.  

Mairead and I are heartbroken over Redd's passing (We fondly called him "Redd" and rarely called him "George").   George and Marilyn have been the best of neighbors and the best of friends to us.  We cannot count the number of times that Redd patiently taught us/trained us on basic maintenance repairs on our property.  On those occasions when we took Redd to breakfast, he would make us laugh with funny stories and jokes.  I always told him that he, actually, was the "most interesting man in the world."  His passing has left such a gaping hole.  We take some solace in that Redd is at peace and no longer in pain.  For Marilyn, you remain in our prayers.   We love you both.
