Survived by wife Marilyn, sisters Verna & Phyllis, & brother Chester. Sons Byron & Brett, daughter Cheryl, & 2 stepchildren Brenda & Marty. 12 grandchildren & 1 great grandchild.
Redd had a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering. Worked at the L.A. Dept. of Water & Power, G.E., Edison, & PG&E. Had a long career as a hydroelectric engineer and once retired, he traveled the world consulting on dam projects including a dangerous mission to Afghanistan where he helped restore power to the Afghan people.
He was a Reserve Sheriff in East L.A. which gave him a chance to use his Spanish
Some of his hobbies were woodworking, clock making & repair, shooting/guns, liked to go on motorcycle trips & boating on the nearby lakes. He enjoyed hunting, camping, & photography. He had a very special talent for telling funny stories & jokes.
We will miss you here but they will welcome you there.
