Gene B was one of the best supervisors and friends that I had during my career in the USAF, it was a pleasure to work for him, he also got me the job at Palmdale SR-71 Flight Test when he retired and went to work for Lockheed.  He will be truly missed by the SR-71 Blackbird community.

Worked for Chief Patrick in Okinawa.  Admired his quiet, soft spoken demeanor and his leadership. Rest in Peace Chief.

I knew Chief Patrick professionally and I always admired him. He was a fine leader, someone you could try to emulate without any reservations. Rest In Peace Chief. 

My Uncle Gene was a very special person in my life from early childhood throughout my life. I remember as a young girl I was fascinated by the movie magazines and all the stories about the big movie stars. Uncle Gene was stationed somewhere in CA so I would write to him about my favorite stars and he would respond with the most exciting stories about them, whether real or fictional they made a young girl happy.  I thought he was the best uncle a girl could have and I never changed my mind. I loved you then & I have loved you all my life. Fly High Uncle Gene.

I remember my Uncle Gene from when I was a young boy.  He was my inspiration for my fascination with space.  I remember him sending me things from his time in the military and I believe he sent me a set of service bars and paratrooper wings.  He put me in touch with NASA to receive information from missions that were public and for years, those packages gave me great thrills.  Unfortunately, we have not been in touch since my Grandmother, Lavana passed.  I am very saddened to hear of his passing.  Rest In Peace, Uncle Gene.
