Mark and I were very saddened to hear of Fred's passing. He was always such a personable guy. He never lacked words for a conversation. I loved how he loved Judy, it was visible. The two of them dressing up as Captain America and Wonder Woman was just special. The way their dogs were trained shows the discipline taken. Rest in peace, Fred you'lre missed by a lot of people. What a wonderfully rich life you had. 

Grandpa was the best example of thoughtfulness and kindness. I can think of a million examples throughout my life, where he showed me kindness or grace. One big one was when me and my cousin Amanda were at their house for Christmas Eve, and we accidentally derailed the train that goes around the tracks. Grandpa LOVED this train, and boy we thought we were going to be in trouble, because it absolutely looked broke to us lol. We hid under the piano, and grandpa noticed. He asked us what was wrong and we fessed up. He just laughed and really factually explained why we can’t pull the circus animals off because they are in fact glued onto the train. Then he carefully fixed the train back to the tracks, smiled and showed us it was all ok. As an adult with my own kids now, I try to channel that grace and patience that I received from my grandpa especially on those days where my kids make my eyes twitch lol. 

Grandpa was a MASTER builder of Legos. His patience and attention to detail supercedes anyone I know. He built the most intricate Lego models. One day I brought him a big tub of all the legos we have (all completely mixed up, because we are a hot mess.) I thought he could use them to help construct more masterpieces lol. Months later he returned the big tub to me thanking me but that he was done with them. I opened the tub and to my bewilderment, he had divided all the legos into bags divided by their color, THEN further divided by size and shape. My brain exploded by the level of organization that I surely will never attain lol. 

Grandpa always welcomed his grandbabies to come over and visit anytime! Not only would he get the toys out for them, but he would be down on the floor playing motorcycles or trains with them, or showing them how to make the Leopard puppet talk. Such a fun great-grandpa. How we will miss our visits!!

A true family man. With 5 kids, 8 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren, some may think “seen one baby, seen them all”  but not with this grandpa. He and grandma would always be amongst one of the first to visit each new member of the family. They would be joyous and beaming with pride, making sure everyone knows how special they are. 

	Not long after I got my bike, Fred saw me ride by on his street and chased me home to make a new friend and fellow biker. After that, he upgraded to a touring Harley and we began planning our trips. Since we lived only a few blocks apart, when one of us went out for a short ride, he would stop in front of the other's house, rev his motor for some noise and 9 of 10 times we would be on the road together within minutes. We joined a motorcycle club, but really just enjoyed riding together. Fred kept photo albums of our rides all over coastal and northern California. Fred taught me the finer points of riding and I'm sure I was a challenge to his strict safety rules. Those were great times. Riding was fun, but having a good friend like Fred was priceless. Great memories of good times with a great friend. 

Dad loved his donuts & coffee. I’m sure heaven has a great donut & coffee cafe where dad can sit and catch up with both old friends and new. Miss you dad!!

Most of childhood memories that were captured and made were because of you. I'm so greatful for all of them! Love you so much Grandpa. Give everyone a big ol squeeze for me and I'll see y'all when I get there.
