Frank a resident of Fresno passed away on May 12, 2015 at the age of 70. He was born on March 5, 1945 in Los Cruces, New Mexico to Celedonio and Amada Alvarez. He was a retired maintenance mechanic for heavy equipment and also served in the Army.
He is survived by his wife Mary, daughters Helen Pittman and husband Keith, Amada Stennis and her husband Anthony, Nelly Mata and her husband Jaime, sons Michael Alvarez, Bobby Alvarez and his wife Sheila, Frank Alvarez Jr., sisters Martha Alvarez, Lucia Angulo, brothers Albert Alvarez and his wife Terry, Joe Alvarez. Frank was grandfather to 18 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Viewing will be held at Lisle Funeral Home on Monday, May 18, 2015starting at 2:00 pm and then followed by the Recitation of Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm.
Mass of Christian Burial St. John’s Cathedral on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at 10:30 am. Interment to follow at Fresno Memorial Gardens.
