Frances McAlpine

November 24, 1928 – June 1, 2020

Frances Elizabeth (Farny) McAlpine was born November 24, 1928 and passed away on June 1, 2020. She grew up in Los Angeles, California.

Frances graduated from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, CA in 1951 and from Prairie Bible Institute in Three Hills, Alberta in 1953. In 1954, she went to the Dominican Republic as a missionary with West Indies Mission (now World Team) She met Arthur McAlpine in 1963, they were married in 1964 and enjoyed 46 1/2 years of marriage.

Frances worked at Pacific Biblical Mennonite Seminary for six years and then she went to work at Link Care for the next 23 years.

Frances is predeceased by her parents Peter and Velma Farny; her brother Robert Farny and wife Ellis; her beloved husband Arthur; and her sister Barbara Severance and her husband Bob.

She is survived by her two stepsons and their wives, Thomas and Elvice, and Timothy and Suzy; and by her grandchildren Tommy, Ken and Joy.
