Yesterday marked 14 years that you  went home to be with our Lord. Your loss doesn't get any easier as the years pass but your presence is still very much with us. These last 2 weeks have been really hard...I've been missing you so much! I'm trying to hold it together but the tears just keep coming. Your passing has had such a profound effect on me. Just when I think I'm okay everything reminds me of you. I know you're with me when I'm feeling like this because I hear the music you liked on the radio and I see you as that beautiful white butterfly everywhere I go. I try to immerse myself in a book but it's you on my mind no matter where I am or what I do. Sometimes it can be when I sit down to eat and my mind wanders to thoughts of you and how much I miss you and I start crying. I try to be strong but I just can't do it sometimes. People say it will get easier but it really doesn't. So sometimes I just keep to myself and try to weather the storm (so to say) because not everyone understands how I feel sometimes. You have been on my mind this morning and the first thing I did today when I got to work was to listen to the music you loved to hear by Javier Solis. There isnt a song of his that doesnt remind me of you and your beautiful smile. Every song brings back memories of you cooking in your kitchen or you cleaning house late at night when Dad was at work. It pains me sometimes to listen and know that you sre not here to listen anymore. I miss you Mama...so much that sometimes its hard to get through the day and night sometimes. I hope you know, that you can see how much we think of you and wish you were still here with us. Arnold made us some menudo this weekend and we were sitting at the table me, Alex and him and we started talking about how much you enjoyed your menudo and how you would say things to make us laugh sometimes. We all laughed but it wasn't too long before we were all crying. I know you're in a better place Mama and I know that someday we will see you again but it's still hard to accept that you aren't here with us anymore. Losing you has made me realize how precious time with loved ones is and short life can be. Today God blessed me with the gift of waking up to begin my 59th year of life. I recently lost a friend at work and I went to the viewing yesterday. She has 3 sons and always worked so hard to provide for them. I couldnt help but feel their pain knowing their Momma won't be there to care for them. The youngest boy was probably beteween 16-18 yrs old but he was in so much pain it broke my heart to see him. It made me think of the day we laid you to rest. That was the hardest day of our lives and we didnt realize the magnitude of your loss until we left and it was painfully clear we would never see our mother again. A part of us died with you Momma. We love and miss you more than you could have ever known. I pray that you always watch over us and that you know how much we wish you were still here with us. Your loss was the hardest thing we'll ever have to endure.....

Today is one of my Missing you days Mom. I have been dealing with a few situations in my life that talking to you and just hearing telling me it's going to work out Mijo, seems to ease the heart. Missing doesn't seem to get easier at times but I have to keep trying to make my heart understand it. Today when I was leaving work I decided to stop by the Book Fair in the lobby and browse through the books, gadgets and stationary sets. The lady that sets it up lets everyone pay with post dated checks for up to 2 weeks. While going thru the stationary section I saw a calendar that caught my eye. It was a 2015 calendar that was dedicated to My Mother. I read thru the different Blue Mountain cards that were attached to the back page of every month. I love Blue Mountain brand cards because they can say something just like I think I would but in a card. Heartfelt words....MOM.. And I thought to myself, I don't have MY MOM! I had a big lump in my throat, Mom and again the reality of you not being here hits me again. I miss you so much Mom. Not a day goes by that I don't think of you and wish we would have had more time together. Felix (Lover) and I talk about how we wish our mothers were still here and lived with us and our babies, Bailey and Remy. We wish you and Dad were here for us to visit together and that he could do things for. But even though you aren't here physically, I know that you always are spiritually and that you know how everyone is doing because you're always with us. So don't stop looking out for us and poke or pinch us if we're misbehaving, ok? Please send us your bendiciones and keep us in your prayers as you are in mine.

Mamita, there isn't day that doesn't go by that I don't think of you . I've been missing you so much lately. There's been alot going on and we all wish you were still here with us. Valerie is doing well. I had a surprise baaby shower for her last weekend. It was nice to have your sisters come to the shower. My Tia Carmen crocheted two blue blankets for her. Jessica and Patty had another one for her this past weekend. I wish you were here to see her and that you could see her little boy when he makes his appearance in a couple of months. She's really excited and happy. Jessica hasnt been doing too wel she was hospitalized this past week for a couple of days due to her back injury and will require surgery. Please continue to watch over them Mom, send them your blessings from heaven. They miss their Grammy too. The boys are all doing good too. We all try to stay on touch with each other like you wanted us to. We all miss you still and even though its hard not having you here with us anymore I know that someday we will all be together again and we'll all be happy again. There is not a day that goes by that I think about you. There is always something that rmends me of you whether it's a song or just being out in the yard. I miss you so very much that it hurts me deep down inside you can't imagine. I hope you liked your flowers. Felix and I went to visit you at your resting place and took you some beautiful flowers that he picked out just for you. It was a beautiful evening. We sat on your bench and watched the sunset and talked alot about the kind of person you were. We laughed at some of the things you'd say and how you liked to be silly with us. You had a great sense of humor and sometimes would join in on the fun when we were cutting up on each other. There's so many things we miss about you Mom. Some say it gets easier to accept that our loved ones are gone but I doubt that. It seems like as time goes by it only gets harder. It still feels so fresh, your loss. Help me Mama, continue to move forward please its so hard for me. There isnt a day that I dont think of you and wish I still had you here with me to love. I pray that you are resting and that you are happy with your loved ones who left before you.

Thank you for going with me to the emergency room when they needed stitches, for taking care of them when they were sick. I went to spend some time with you and Dad on Saturday, I hope you liked your flowers. Your headstone looks so nice now that all your flowers are not all cluttered up. I sat there and looked at it for a long time and I still find it so hard to believe that you're gone and that you're not coming back. It really hurts my heart to think about that it's still so hard to accept. Felix (Lover) misses you so much too. We sit around the house and talk about you and Dad alot and about the times we spent with you when we were kids. I just wish you were still here Mom so I could share my life with you. I wish you could see that I'm finally happy and that I have someone who loves me and takes good care of me. Even my kids can see that now. Thank you Mama, for bringing him back to me. I know you always wanted us to be together and now that we are you're gone. Just know that you are always in our thoughts, our prayers and a part of everything we do. This morning I had a conversation with one of my employees about how hard your loss has ben for me to accept. She told me that her mother passed away in 2006 and that she still missed her so much. The more we talked the more we realized how much we have in common about how we feel not having our Mothers in our lives today. We both cook like our Moms and pretty much play the same roles within our families. I'm sure you know that we even shared tears talking about you. We hugged and agreed that we would support each other on days when we feel like we need our Mamas....I love and miss you so much Mom. So we begin another year without you here to touch, to love and to see....I know you know how hard its been for us to continue to move forward but we continue to try to be strong as you would want us to be. You're always in my thoughts and not a day goes by that I dont think of you and miss you. Its been cold and this weather always reminds me of you when you would sometimes ask me to make some caldo for you. I made some yesterday and invited Arnold and Irene to come have dinner with us. I told Arnold that you used to like the way I made my caldo. We listened to some music and Irene and I decorated our Christmas tree. Felix and I usually have dinner with them either at our house or at theirs on Sundays. Valerie came over too. Hi Grandma Linda, 
I know that it has been awhile since I wrote to you but I have been thinking about you a lot lately. I felt that it's time for me to write to you about everything that I'm going or have accomplished since the last time I wrote to you. First off, I wanted to say that I miss you so much and love so much. I also wanted to share with you that I will be dancing at Fresno City College this semester with Arron in the City Dance Concert. I remember always dancing around the house and you use to say "Mija sit down you are making me nervous" well this time I'm going to be dancing on stage in front our people and showing them what I love to do. I know that if you were here you would super happy and excited to see us dancing in the Fresno City College Dance Concert. This is my first semester doing it but I have had such amazing experience that I'm going to do again next semester. My dance concert is in two weeks and I know that you will be watching me from heaven. :) Secondly, I'm also doing really good in school I'm keeping up my grades and keeping focus so that I can accomplish my goals that I have set. I have hopefully another year here at City College then I can transfer. Every semester I have the hardest time getting through the first week of school because I remember the first day of my freshmen year at Fresno City College. You woke me up early so that I could have enough time to get dressed for school, so I would make it to school on time. I also remember that day you were waiting for me to come home so that I could tell you all about my first day of college and when I didn't come home on time you got worried and were asking “when is Mija getting home said that she would be home at 9am and its 11:30am she is late have you called her?” you even went out looking for me on the corner of Yale. This memory always comes back to me every time a new semester starts at City College.  I will always cherish this moment forever and will always remember the smile on your face that you got when I told that I was going to Fresno City College. Thirdly, I know that I don't for much grandma but I really need you watch over my dad as he continues him battle the diabetes. This is not an easy thing to deal with alone I know that he has his wife and kids to be is support group through this but he also need your guidance through this battle of diabetes. Guide him into the right direction and show him that he needs to do this for him and his family. It hearts my heart to see my dad go through this battle of diabetes. I'm trying my hardest to be Melie Jr.; those are some big shoes to fill. Grandmas please help him through this he really needs you to be on him to stay on the right path so that he can stay healthy. Finally, I know that it's been two years since you were sent home but I want you to know that I love with all my heart no one or anything will EVER change that.  I think about all the time and still have my moments were I cry because I miss you but I know that you are rest in paradise, and still watching us from above. Grandmas please continue to give me the strength to keep pushing forward to achieve my goals that I have set. I know that you are very proud of all my accomplishments and I will continue to make you proud. :) I LOVE YOU GRANDMA LINDA WITH ALL MY HEART :)

They were so happy and Julia and Marcus participated in the wedding too. Sydney was the flowergirl and she looked so cute. She had a blast that day too. Jess and Val looked so pretty too and they were so happy for Mark. Michael was the only one missing. Thank you Mama for all the blessings that you continue to send us. We know that you are always watching over us and that you continue to walk beside us to give us strength and courage to move forward.
