Erika was born in Poland on April 5, 1944, to Emil and Martha Hess. The family migrated to the United States in December of 1951. Erika worked as a food server for 45 years. She most recently was employed by The Lime Lite. She loved spending time with family, friends, and her loving animals, Angel, Ginger, Sassy and Kasha. She also enjoyed gardening, traveling, and watching her San Francisco 49ers.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister Elvira.
Erika is survived by her sisters, Lilli Herold, Hilma Kuest and her husband Ludwig, and Inge Stutz and her husband Bruno; many nieces, nephews, and their spouses.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 2101 N. Fruit Friday, November 28, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment at Belmont Memorial Park.
Remembrances may be made to the SPCA; or any No Kill Shelter.
