He was preceded in death by his wife Vivian, daughter Janice, and son Stanley. He is survived by his sister Eldora Duniphin, his son Tom and wife Doris, grandchildren Denice Mitchell and husband Sam, Diane Williams, Sarah Young and husband Steve, Michael Selzer, seven great -grandchildren and two great- great grandchildren.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II surviving the Battle of the Bulge. After the war, he began his career in agriculture.
He farmed, managed ranches, and worked in other Ag-related businesses. He finished his career as a seed salesman for Cal West Seed.
He retired in 1984 at the age of 62.
Graveside services for Elmer will be held Thursday, December 17, 2015 at Fresno Memorial Gardens at 11:00 AM.
