Mrs. Eleanor Martha Castro

Eleanor was born on February 22, 1928, in Fowler, CA to Labh and Josephine Singh. She attended schools in the Fowler and Selma areas and was married to Joe Castro, Jr. in 1950.

Eleanor was a generous, kind, and dedicated sister, wife, auntie, mother and grandmother. Although tiny in stature, her caring and loving ways were beyond measure. She radiated a powerful, unconditional love with her presence, actions and sense of humor. Through her faith and prayers, story telling, cooking, sewing, and caregiving; she knew exactly how to make everyone in her life feel special.

Eleanor enjoyed the love of a large extended family, including relatives, friends, and neighbors.

She is survived by her three children, Joann Andres and her husband Jess, Jane Camoroda, and Randal Castro and his wife Mary. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A Recitation of the Holy Rosary and a Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church on Thursday, September 17, 2015, at 10:00 a.m.
