Eduardo Garcia, “Eddie”, was born November 4, 1972, to Felipe De Jesus Garcia and Elena Garcia. He grew up in Fresno and graduated from McLane High School in 1989. From a young age he was a hard worker and strong supporter of his younger siblings. He was a passionate and loving father to Stephen and Sara, who he called “Urlacher,” because of his love for the Chicago Bears. Eddie will be remembered for his charm, selflessness, and strong work ethic. He displayed this perseverance in his lengthy fight for life. God’s divine plan called for Eddie’s presence at the golden gates of heaven where he can finally rest in peace.
He is survived by his father Felipe Garcia; his mother Elena Garcia; his son Stephen Garcia; and his daughter Sara Garcia; his brother Adrian Garcia (Julie Garcia); his brother Phillip Garcia (Leticia Ibarra); his sister Elena Garcia (Juan Gomez); his sister Yvette Garcia , and Aunt Bertha Cardenas (Rolando Delgado).
Also survived by many loving Nieces and Nephews.
A Visitation for Eddie will be held Monday, September 26, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Whitehurst Sullivan Burns & Blair Funeral Home, 836 E. Nees Ave., Fresno, CA 93720.
A Recitation of the Holy Rosary will occur Monday, September 26, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, 836 E. Nees Ave., Fresno, CA 93720.
A Mass of Christian Burial will occur Tuesday, September 27, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Shrine of St. Therese Catholic Church, 855 E Floradora Ave, Fresno, CA 93728.
A Committal Service will occur Tuesday, September 27, 2022 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Fresno Memorial Gardens, 175 South Cornelia Ave, Fresno, CA 93706.
Serving as pallbearers are Felipe Garcia, Adrian Garcia, Philip Garcia, Juan Garcia, Rolando Delgado, Jonathan Gonzalez, Francisco Gomez and Diego Cardenas.
