Dwight David Foore, 73, was born in Oakland, California on July 26, 1949 and passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2022. Dwight is survived by his fiancé, Cheri Plant, he was and always will be the love of her life; his sons Michael (Penni) and Curtis (Lyndell); grandchildren Michael, Morgan, Hayley, Zachary, Sadie, Gary, Melony, and 15 great-grandchildren. Dwight cherished Cheri’s family as his own and was fondly known as “Papa” to her daughter Monica Karam (Robert) and their children Samantha, Joshua, and Jake; Cheri’s son Anthony Martin (Marilin) and their son Joseph.
Dwight graduated from Fresno High School in 1967 where he played football and baseball. He then joined the U.S. Naval Reserves in 1968 where he served in the construction battalion through 1969.
Dwight was an avid golfer and dog lover. His four-legged friends were near and dear to his heart. Dwight could always put a smile on your face with his sense of humor even during his last moments. Dwight always put others’ needs before his own.
During their 33 years together, Dwight and Cheri loved traveling the world and spending time with family and friends. They enjoyed cooking family meals where Dwight was a master at the grill.
Dwight was an independent sales representative in the food industry for most of his career where he gained many friendships over the years.
Dwight is preceded in death by his parents David and Reba Foore and daughter-in-law Penni Foore.
Dwight, we miss you and are forever blessed for the unconditional love and happiness you brought into our lives. We are comforted knowing you are walking with the Lord.
The family would like to thank St. Mary’s Home Health, Hinds Hospice, and friends for the love and care they provided. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Dwight’s honor to Hinds Hospice of Fresno.
