Dorothy Virginia Hoover

Dorothy was born on October 7, 1921, in Cleveland, OH, to Roy B. King of Greensburg, PA, and Elsie N. Lawrence of Ontario, Canada. Dorothy was married 29 years to Forest B. Hoover of Organ Cave, WV, raising three sons, Bob, David and Tim Hoover. Dorothy worked for many years as a Teacher's Aide at Calwa Elementary School, and a Store Greeter at K-Mart. She was an active member of Fresno's Cornerstone Church, visited troubled youth at Fresno's Juvenile Hall and supported the Fresno Rescue Mission.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Elsie King; her ex-husband, Forest Hoover; and her sister, Marjorie Sikula of Cleveland, OH.

Dorothy is survived by her three sons, Bob Hoover and his wife Kathy Delsid-Hoover, of Folsom, CA, David Hoover of Modesto, CA, and Tim Hoover and his wife Lisa Hoover, of Star, ID; five grandchildren, Aimee Taylor of Boise, ID, Melissa Hoover of Boise, ID, Seth Hoover of Star, ID, Ben Hoover of Modesto, CA, and Josh Hoover of Folsom, CA; her three great-grandchildren, Ayden, Addison, and Austin Hoover, of Folsom, CA; and two nephews, Dr. Wayne Lindstrom of Santa Fe, NM, and Randy Harrison of Arizona.

A special "thank you" is extended to the staff of Twilight Haven Nursing Home for the exceptional care provided to Dorothy during her golden years.

Visitation will be held at Stephens & Bean Chapel on Friday, June 5, 2015, from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Stephens & Bean Chapel on Saturday, June 6, 2015, from 10:00 a.m.
