Doris was a lifelong homemaker. A loving and caring mother who always provided support and love for her family. An avid sports fan, she loved the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame, the San Francisco Giants, the San Francisco 49ers and Fresno State Bulldogs. She also enjoyed watching the NASCAR races.
Doris enjoyed her backyard waterfall and the rose garden with birds and squirrels roaming around.
Doris loved playing her favorite card game of 31 with family and friends. She also enjoyed the occasional trip to Chukchansi Casino. Her favorite vacation destination is Pismo Beach for the annual Steiner family reunion.
As her health declined, she often repeated the quote: “When I die, I would like everyone to wear colorful attire at my funeral and make it a happy occasion”.
Doris will be missed by many, but not forgotten.
