Doris Pearson was born May 14, 1940 in Waco, Texas to Delphia Woods and Rosie Lee Woods, she was the 7th out of the 11 children her mother had. Doris moved to Fresno where she met Searcy Pearson and got married in 1979. She was a homemaker and made it a career and when she was not taking care of someone else home she was in her own home cooking recipes and trying new ones. Her favorite dishes she loved to cook for everyone was peach cobbler, banana pudding, greens and she loved to do crossword puzzles and play board games. She had a caring heart and open arms, she was able to adapt to anybody personality to whom ever she encountered; which when they went low she always went high with love. Doris accepted Christ in her life and became a faithful church member of Church of Christ, she loved family and accepted everyone unconditionally. She was well loved and was a blessed soul.
She is survived by her siblings; Bernice Shade, Jessie Woods, Francis Harris, Elnora Walton Ivory, Charles Woods and three children; son, Stacy Brown, daughters; Elisa Woods and Rosie Jimenez and five grandchildren; Myisha Qualls, Destiny Qualls, Jahlon Jimenez, Cortez Jimenez, and Laiana Jimenez. With one great grandchild; Maylaysha Johnson. Step-daughter Janice Jackson, step-grandchildren; Chantell Miller, Mac Jackson, Lasundra Jackson.
Preceded in death by her parents; Delphia and Rosie Lee Woods , husband; Searcy Pearson, son; Leonard Brown and step-grandson Bobby Pearson and brothers; Wyatt Woods, Roosevelt Woods, Eddie Woods, and Laurene Woods, nephew; Gary Butler, and great niece; Erin Skinner. Left to cherish her life memories is a host of a nieces and nephew, great nieces and nephews, family in Christ and friends.
