I want to express my sincerest sympathy with the Soper family.
I met Don in Columbia MO while we both were attending MIZZOU. Don had a huge personality, everyone loved him.

I am still Stunned (as is our great friend G-Man) that Don is no longer with Us. He was the True Definition of a Great Guy. His Heart, Smarts, Humor and Caring in that Huge Personality are forever missed. Th World is such a Sadder Place without Don in it and I am so fortunate that Our Life Paths Crossed. Don, My Friend, You will always be The Man, The Myth, The Legend.

Really hard to believe it has already been a year.  Wish we could've had many more years to share our passion for aviation.  However, I know you now have a permanent set of wings and that you are soaring in heaven.

I would like to share my deepest condolence to the Soper Family Don is an amazing person. He had a smile that light up a room. He made everyone feel welcomed and always gave them his full attention I met Don when I started at Healthcomp in 2019. He gave me a tour always asked if I needed anything and he was always there if I had any questions or needed any help. He was one of my favorite people at Healthcomp and we will all miss him dearly!!! I’m so sorry for your loss may God bring your family comfort in your time of need.

I had the pleasure of working with Don (Donny Donny Donny) for many years at HealthComp. His laugh & sense of humor was contagious and would always put a smile on your face if he was near by. He was well loved by everyone who came across him...he had a way about him that you couldn't help but be drawn to him. He lit up each day and he will  forever be missed. Never a dull moment when Don was around.
You are now in your Father's arms...Praise Jesus.

I had the pleasure to work with Don in many different roles over the years at HealthComp. He has forever left an impression on me by his constant positivity and motivation.   His sense of humor brought us out of stressful times.  My deepest sympathies to the Soper family and his many friends.  RIP Dandy Don.

I am saddened beyond measure, but know that God's grace and compassion will assuage the sadness and grief that all of us that had the privilege of knowing him are feeling. Words are wholly inadequate to express the breadth and depth of the man known affectionately as "The Don" to many students, athletes, parents and friends.  His love and passion for his family, friends, and his community was immeasurably deep.  He remained indefatigable in his actions and desires to make the lives of everyone around him better, in whatever capacity presented.  While the "Voice of the Tigers" may be silenced here on Earth, I am convicted that it rings out loudly on the streets of Heaven.  I am proud to say that Don Soper was my friend,  and he was a friend to anyone that desired to be one.  That, along with his deep love for his family, is the legacy that lives on.  He was a man of many capabilities and many accomplishments. This world has known fewer persons of such character, kindness, and embodiment of compassion, than my friend, "The Don".  He was truly "bigger than life" (as my wife Lilette opines).  Godspeed my friend, and eternal love and profound respect to the Soper Family from the Kelly Family.  In pace requiescat.

My relationship with the Soper family started out when I was in sales at Honda North and I had the pleasure of doing business with Don Soper (Senior).  A few years later, I discovered my son had a close friend named Mackenzie Soper.  I could tell she was a special friend as her name came up quite often, and I soon made the connection that she was Don's granddaughter.   Fast forward to my 4th year as a teacher and my 2nd year at Edison, I had the honor and privilege of coaching Mackenzie in volleyball.  She was easily my most dedicated and hardest working athlete on the team!  This is when I met Don for the first time.  Don was not only Mackenzie's biggest fan and supporter, hanging around at just about every practice and attending every game he could possibly make, home or away, but he was also my biggest fan and supporter.  He was always so encouraging to me.   Never before, and I imagine never again, will I experience the absolute and unconditional appreciation and support that I felt from Don that year.  And even after Mackenzie moved on to Varsity, I still felt the love and support every time we ran into each other- Judy too!   I love you, Mackenzie and Judy, and Don will always hold a special place in my heart!  

I will always remember the time spent with Cousin Don. From being launched into the pool as a kid, checking out the games he was working on, being called a famous "knucklehead", to endless laughter at Black Beards. We were truly blessed to have had him in our lives. My sincere condolences and love goes out to Judy, Lori, and the kids. Don and his infamous fanny packs will be missed.

No words can express how grateful i am for you Don. A million thank yous is not enough for always giving me those words of encouragement and believing in me. Ill never forget your one of a kind voice and your enthusiasm when you yelled out "GO GETEM TIGERS!" You'll be deeply missed. Always love to the Soper family and ill always check on Mack for you. My condolences to the family.  Don ALWAYS had a great, warm, cheery, smile at all times of the day whenever I would see him.  I am lucky to have met him. 

My dear sweet beautiful cousin! I will miss celebrating our birthdays together, our Annual Family Christmas Day events with what felt like HUNDREDS of people stepping over each other.  But mostly, I will miss your wit, your contrasting wit that left me in stitches. Maybe you can fly planes in heaven, if they let you :>

RIP Don.  I’ll never forget the many soccer games, flag football games, basketball games, parish festivals and so much more that our families shared at Sacred Heart.  You will be missed.

Judy & The Fam,  I am absolutely devastated to hear the tragic news about Don. We've all lost one of the truly great Hearts & Souls and the World is a much sadder place without Don around.  I was so lucky that our Life Paths crossed and I was able to be around his Amazing Light.  He was a Great Friend and a Truly Amazing Person.  He had such Magic and a unstoppable Enthusiasm for Life.  I was so Lucky to have had The Don Soper Experience Up Close and Personal.  His Kindness, Creativity, Determination and Unstoppable Enthusiasm was mind-blowing.  His Smile, Craziness, Humorand Twisted World View were such a Blast.  He always made Me feel  that I could do and be better.  Don had so many Talents and Special Gifts. He was the type of Good Guy that this Crazy World could really use during these Days of Insanity.  Preaching to The Choir, I know, but Don will be so missed.
