Donald Walter Lowe

Passed away on September 8, 2023 in Chickamauga Georgia at the age of 90. Donald was born October 12, 1932 in Bakersfield, California to Walter and Velma Lowe. Donald served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was longtime member of the American Legion and VFW. He spent most of his live in the Kerman area, having farmed numerous row crops and vineyards. He was also a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Kerman for many years. Donald supported Fresno State Athletics, being a member of the Dugout Club and Quarterback Club. Donald will also be remembered for his passion of growing roses, having well over a hundred rose bushes at his house in Kerman.

He was preceded death by his loving wife Faye Lowe in 2019.

He is survived by his children Dennis Lowe, Wendy Bjorkquist, Gary Lowe, Donna Lowe, his brother Gordon Lowe and sister Lavern Armbruster. Donald has also been blessed by his grandchildren Christopher Lowe, Brittney Rangel, Seth Lowe and six great grandchildren; Wyatt Lowe, Morgan Lowe, Michaela Lowe, Amelia Rangel, Scarlett Rangel and Violet Rangel.

A graveside service with Military Honors will be held at Fresno Memorial Gardens, on Friday September 22, 2023 at 10:00 am.

A celebration of life will follow at the American Legion Hall in Kerman following the service.
