Dolores Kathleen was born in Fresno to Andrew and Annabelle Wulf. She attended Kirk Elementary and graduated from Edison High School. She met the love of her life Donald Aluisi when they were in grade school. They played instruments in the same orchestra class. Don played a clarinet and she played the violin. They were inseparable with a courtship of 12 years and a loving marriage of 65 years when Don passed suddenly in March of 2018.
Dolores was a devoted wife and loving mother. She worked beside Don on the farm for many years until the children were older and then as a secretary for a doctor (PhD) and college professor of animal science and animal husbandry who wrote textbooks that were standard curriculum in American high schools and colleges.
She loved living on the family ranch, in the middle of the walnut orchard, never having to pull the curtains closed or lock the doors. She complained of the extra dirt and dust of the ranch and the farming but still hated to move when urban development squeezed the family off of the Aluisi homestead of 70+ years. She enjoyed cooking for her family, especially for holidays. Her annual 4th of July potlucks were always memorable. She was involved in her children’s school and their activities cheering for her son at wrestling tournaments and her daughter at horse shows. She never missed a chance to be supportive.
She is preceded by her parents, her husband, Donald Aluisi, her brother, Charles Richard Wulf, and sister, Donna Gilles Martin. She he survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne and David Ward, and her son and daughter-in-law, Donald G. and Karen Aluisi, their 4 children and 4 grandchildren.
A private graveside service is planned. Remembrances may be sent to Hinds Hospice.
Don and Dolores…… together again.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.lislefuneralhome.com for the Aluisi family.
