Beloved father, husband, brother, and loyal friend, David Frank Slama died on Friday morning, March 16, 2012.
Born in Chicago, Il. on January 12, 1937, to Frank and Anna (Hnat) Slama, his work would take us to California, Indiana, Texas, Tennessee, Colorado and finally to Fresno, CA. He provided a great life for us! For 55 years he worked in manufacturing. First with The Pillsbury Co. then with Hershey Pasta Group and finally with New World Pasta. Dad was a most generous and giving man. He always put his family first by working hard so his wife and kids would never have to worry about a thing.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents; wife Muriel (high school sweethearts); brother Paul; and sister Shirley.
He leaves behind sons, David, Mark and Chris; daughter, Laurel; sister, Dorothy Ballard; and furry friends and "grandkids" Joey and Roxy.
