David was born on April 4, 1970 in Fresno, California. David was born legally blind and had cerebral palsy on his right side. He attended the class for the visually impaired at Wolters Elementary and he always remembered thankfully of learning to use the transit system while there.
He went on to graduate from Madera High School in 1989. When he was 21 years of age he attended the School for the Blind and Visually Impaired in the North Bay. Part of the program was to take the BART to San Francisco by himself and he passed with flying colors.
Afterwards...determined to be independent, David moved into his own apartment at Glen Agnes Assisted Living in 1991.
He attended church weekly at St. Therese Catholic Church in Fresno, California. He would take the bus to attend mass and every week his mother or grandmother would pick him up until his grandmother's passing in 2012. His mother continued to pick him up from mass and they would spend quality time together over lunch.
David's disabilities of cerebral palsy and blindness never held him back from taking on challenges. He shortly worked at the IRS and also attended classes at Fresno City College.
He was an avid gamer and loved Star Trek. His greatest love was music. He listened to a number of different music genres, but the artist, Vangeles, was his favorite.
David is survived by his mother, Irene Munoz- Bruno and her husband Jay Bruno, his sister Davene Munoz; nephew Aaron Munoz, his uncle Richard S. Munoz and Aunt Vera Munoz as well as his half-sister, Lisa Fiahlo and her husband Chris and their children.
