Colleen Towns passed away on Wednesday morning, August 30, 2017, at the age of 91. She was born Colleen Helen Hopkins in Decatur, IL. She was the youngest of five brothers and three sisters from Chicago, IL.
Colleen "Boots" was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Joseph Towns.
Colleen is survived by her five children, Peggy A. England, Robert E. Towns, David V. Towns of Fresno, CA, Kevin T. Towns of Modesto, CA, and Daniel P. Towns of Coarsegold, CA. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren; and five great-grand- children.
Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 5, 2017, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. followed by a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Clovis Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests remembrances be made to the American Can- cer Society.
