He was born on June 18, 1937, to Hugh and Doris Miller of Fresno, CA.
Clayton attended Central High School where he began his studies of auto mechanics and played football.
He married Cathleen Miller February 2, 1957, and became a widower in 2008.
Clayton worked several truck-driving jobs for many years earlier in life that culminated in driving for Union Oil for 17 years. In 1975, he became a Partner in Sanger Tire. Here he was an owner and mechanic for 33 years before retirement.
Clayton had a love for the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and dirt biking with family and friends. Later in life, he enjoyed traveling abroad.
Clayton is survived by his daughter Carie and her husband Ernie Hayes, son Clayton, Jr. and his wife Sunny Miller, daughter Corine and her husband Marty Gonzales, son Craig and his wife Stephanie Miller, eleven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild. He is also survived by his brother Ron and his wife Sharon Miller.
Clayton is preceded in death by his father and mother, his wife Cathleen Miller, his son Kelton Miller, and his sister Marlene Keith.
Clayton became ill over a year ago and was suffering with Pancreatic Cancer, Kidney failure, and other ailments. The family would like to thank his partner and friend, Sandy Wilson, for staying by his side and for the love and support she gave him.
A memorial service will be held at Tinkler Funeral Home and Chapel on November 29, 2017 at 10 a.m.
