Clarence J Helmuth

Clarence grew up in Kerman, CA. He graduated from Kerman High School in 1945, where he excelled in sports, football, baseball and basketball.

After he graduated, he went and joined the Army in November of 1945. He ended up in an office at Camp Beale, CA for 13 months. Within that time, he earned the rank of Sergeant.

After he was discharged, he farmed for a year and then decided to get a job driving a bread truck for 3 1/2 years.

He met his loving wife, Arlene, in December of 1950. He decided he would rather farm than drive a truck so we went back to farming again in January of 1951. On September 1, 1951 Clarence and Arlene got married.

He is survived by his two sons, Rick Helmuth and his wife Carole, and Gerald Helmuth and his wife Laura. He also leaves his two grandchildren, Holly Helmuth and Mike Vonfeldt.

He is preceded in death by his wife Arlene Helmuth, and his step son Rod Vonfeldt.

A graveside service for Clarence will be held Friday, March 1, 2024 beginning at 11:00 am at Mountain View Cemetery, 1411 W Belmont, Fresno, CA 93728.
