Dad,
I'm miss you so very much. Not a day goes by that I don't think about you. I have so much to tell you. So much I want to ask. I miss those hugs you'd give me before I drove back home to the coast. You'd hug me like it was going to be the last time. I regret breaking those hugs short because I'd say "dad come on you'll see me soon" then you'd cry and tell me you'd miss me. Well now dad, I cry because I miss you. I miss your laugh. I miss the phone calls and silly texts. I can't believe you won't be walking me down the isle, you won't meet my children. There's so much well never have. I promise to make you proud. I promise to keep your memory strong in my heart and mind. I love you daddy and I miss you more than anything. I'm so glad I got to spend your last days by your side. I will always be your beebs.

Rest in Peace Chuck. I will miss talking to you at the mart and deli.

Uncle chuck I miss you dearly and still can't believe ur gone. I promise to keep your memories alive. I feel sad for Miley because she won't get to grow up with you like I did. May you rest in peace Charles Hubert Ratcliff Jr. Usually when I called him by his full name he would look at me and say: My name is "CHUCK"... And who can forget the time all of us went to Bakersfield for "CHARLES" to run the 880 yard event and he was doing very well and then he got sick and lost his breakfast and did not finish the race as well as he should have. He blamed it on the pancakes. I still don't know if he ever ate another pancake again. I will always remember riding in the back of "REDS" grey 54 or 55 ford truck under the camper shell Charles SR. Made out of wood on our way to Hume Lake & Cherry Gap, and every time we would pass a logging truck we would pop our heads out an motion for the truck driver to blow his LOUD Airhorn... it probably drove RED Nuts, And Margaret driving half the little league team around in the 66 Chevlle or the old Yellow Pinto...oh by the way Charles also was referred to as Jr for many many years.. I could go on & on with countless stories.. oh and don't forget "PASO" My prayers go out to your family to help you get thru this difficult time. And Margaret just remember JR is just down the street so you can still visit him as many times as you want... With all my love Brian "GUMBY" Berg... (Chuck gave everyone a nickname) What was yours?

Dear Margaret and family, there are no words to express my sympathy to you all. It doesn't matter that I hadn't seen Chuck in years, I love him, he was my friend. We shared a million memories over the years. When you see someone nearly every day for 13 years a lifetime bond is formed. I think about him often since I moved out of Ca.  I now live in Dallas, TX. I went to High School with Chuck. He was always very sweet to me, loved his pretty eyes. May God hold you in His loving arms and carry you through this difficult time.
