Preceded in death by brothers Martin R. Koch and wife Dorothy, Maurice R. Koch and wife Joanne. By sisters Elizabeth and husband Al lstas, sister Kathleen and husband Warren Hardin and by his first wife Judy.
Chuck moved with his parents from Clyde Kansas to Selma California in 1946. He attended Garfield elementary and Roosevelt Junior High in Selma. He commuted to San Joaquin Memorial high school and graduated with the class of 1955. He graduated from Fresno State in 1960 with a degree in Business.
In 1954 Chuck and sixteen of his classmates joined the Marine Corps Reserve. He served for over eight years in the Reserve.
He was employed by Gottschalk's only store until 1963. Chuck returned to Fresno State and earned a teaching credential in Business Education in 1964.
In 1966, he and his wife, Judy were blessed with a daughter, Kathryn and again in 1968 with a second daughter, Julie.
Chuck was a high school teacher at Edison, Fresno and Roosevelt High schools, and served as vice principal at Fort Miller, Sequoia, Kings Canyon, and Yosemite Middle schools.
In 1990, he married Joanne Bernardi, whom he had known since high school.
He is survived by his wife, Joanne, his daughter Kathryn and spouse Laurie, daughter Julie and husband David Silva and granddaughters Morgan and Chloe.
Chuck was a member of the Edison Social Club for over 40 years, Fresno and Clovis Elks for over 50 years and the Verdi Club for many years.
He and Joanne have belonged to the St. PauI Newman Center for over 25 years .
