Carolyn never met a stranger. She was a very outgoing person and had the ability to start a conversation with anyone.
Her greatest loves in life were her children and grand-children. She also loved all her fur babies. She loved to sing and as soon as a new baby was born they were always met with her open arms, rocked and sung to. She loved singing in her church choir and once told a pastor "I may not sing well, but I know I make a joyous sound."
When she was in her 60's she met and married Melvin Sudden, and added 2 step-children, Herschel Sudden and Cheryl Solem, and 6 more grandchildren. They loved traveling, dancing, going to auctions and riding around in their Model A. After Mel had a stroke, she quit her job and became his full time care-taker until he passed away in 2009.
Carolyn was witty and a master of one liners. She was proud of her Native American heritage and was a member of the Cherokee Nation. Her Native family was moved from North Carolina to the Oklahoma Territory during "The Trail of Tears."
She will truly be missed by all family members and anyone who was part of her life.
